Claire is an oboe player originally from Texas.  She moved to Tallahassee in 2005 to attend graduate school at Florida State University.  You'll find her involved in all facets of the business, from shipping online orders, to assisting universities with large scale events.  In addition to working at the store, Claire also plays in the Tallahassee Winds, as well as the occasional musical theatre pit. Outside of her musical endeavors, Claire enjoys working in her garden, baking, watching movies, and traveling with her husband and son. Her favorite oboe piece is the Vaughan Williams concerto.

​Sam has been working at Beethoven & Co. since 2018. He also maintains an active performance schedule as a clarinetist in the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra and other orchestras throughout the region. His favorite piece of music is probably J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations. When he’s not working at the store or performing, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.

Alyssa is a vocalist born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida! She has been working for Beethoven & Co. since February of 2023. She is currently in her General Music degree at Florida State University with a primary focus in voice. Alyssa’s favorite musicians are Beyonce and Tyler, The Creator. She loves singing and researching genres like RnB, Jazz, Classical, Neo-Soul, Funk, and more! Some of Alyssa’s favorite hobbies include cooking, working out, and being with friends. 

Andrew is an Oboe & English Horn player from Austin, Texas. He studied Music Education/Oboe Performance at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and currently pursuing a DM in oboe performance at Florida State University.
His favorite piece is L’Horloge de Flore by Jean Françaix. Andrew loves to make reeds and playing Magic the Gathering!

Cailin is a bassoonist originally from Utah and has been working at Beethoven & Company since October 2023. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Music in bassoon performance and will be starting her doctorate degree at Florida State University in the fall. She loves to read and craft in her free time as well as listen to music. Her favorite tune is St. Thomas by Sonny Rollins. 

Jeremiah is a trumpet player from Orlando, FL! He is pursuing a BM in Trumpet Performance at the Florida State University. He is an active performer- currently contracted with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra. His favorite piece is Mahler 5. Outside from music, he enjoys hanging out with friends.

Sarah Biesack is a violinist from Melbourne, FL. She is currently studying finance at FSU and is an active performer around the panhandle area. When she is not playing with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra or the Panama City Symphony Orchestra, she can be found reading or traveling. Her favorite song is The Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel. 

Nic Kanipe graduated from Florida State University in May where he completed his doctorate in Oboe Performance. Nic Is a freelance musician around the North Florida and South Georgia area where he regularly performs with groups including the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra and the Panama City Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his career as a performer, Nic holds a small private studio and loves to go on walks with his energetic Husky, Maya. His favorite piece is Dvorak 7. 

Tom, owner and founder of Beethoven & Company, has been a lifetime supporter of the arts. His commitment to service and love of music has always been at the core of everything Beethoven & Company is. Since retiring in July 2025, he has had more time to enjoy playing trumpet with local jazz bands, spending time with his wife Jennifer, and tending to their animals.
